Coming to Palermo by the end of december is to be sorrounded by the magic of a city, dressed up just for you. Palermo is maybe the city in the world with the largest number of those trees in the world. But as all the city where the Christian tradition is deep rooted, it's not only about Christmas Trees, but also the specatalce of the famous sicilian Nativity Scenes (Presepio) prepared by the top artisans of the region. The most famous one is the one of the Cathederal, along with dozens of minor crib in every church, of every shape, color, and style, coming to Palermo during the Christmas break means to one of the largest number of Nativity Scenes in the World. A row of streets and squares full of every kind of decorations and amazing objects in waiting for you in Palermo walking the streets in the charming winter environment, with nice weather and warm temperature, so warm that you are will enjoy your open air launches, in a place where in the day coat and jackets are totaly useless. If you are looking for a place where is possible to feel the real atmosphere of the Christamas, without felling the cold of the winter, now you can, Palermo is wating for you. But if you are not satisfy with the lights, the colors and the warm, waether and the blue sky you can try a wide range of special sweets and cakes that the pastry chefs of the city are preaparing for this special occasion, the amazing Buccellato, (a sweet made of short pastry, and stuffed with candied fruit), or the Mustazzola, very sweet pastry made of sugar of the shape of a baby particulary loved by babies.
